New program brings hands-on AI, Python programming, and responsible technology skills to students
Central Columbia School District has partnered with IvySchool.ai, an AI-native education platform, to launch a comprehensive AI with Python course designed to help students develop practical skills in artificial intelligence, programming, and computational thinking.
Through the program, students will learn Python programming, AI and machine learning fundamentals, problem-solving, and responsible AI practices. The curriculum combines foundational concepts with hands-on learning, giving students opportunities to apply what they learn through practical projects and real-world use cases.
The initiative is designed to move students beyond simply using AI tools toward understanding how AI works and how technology can be built and applied responsibly. Students will explore key concepts behind machine learning while also examining important ethical considerations surrounding the development and use of artificial intelligence.
